In the same boat. Got a chem final on thursday than im royally screwed for.
It's over IR/MS, 13C spectroscopy and NMR
Aaaaaaand im fucked.
I would also like a fast and easy way to learn how to interpret this counter-intuitive mess that people call a body of knowledge.

why would a closed time loop imply the possibility of time travel or in essence jumping out of the loop.

additionally, you are assuming linear time so your entire argument is practically invalid.
it would be totally valid to claim that at this moment, there are areas in this universe (black holes) where time no longer exists in its common conception. etc.

A Chevy Blazer is parked at a red light with a Volvo s80 parked behind it. A Ford F250 traveling approximately 7 miles per hour collides with the Volvo which then collides with the Blazer.

Do I need to worry about damage to my blazer or is the kinetic energy transferred between the ford-volvo-blazer going to be an issue? Considering the collision was a truck hitting a sedan hitting an SUV/truck should the larger cars have little to no damage?

Proofs go "Assume P, therefore Q" but they do not assert that P is necessarily true.

Hello, /sci/

Long-time listener, first-time caller here.

There's a crossword puzzle I'm trying to finish and I can't figure out one of the answers. I figured if anyone knew the answer, it would be /sci/.

The clue is:

"Hydrogen compounds that vaporize at relatively low temperatures."

It's a 9-letter word. I *think* the second letter is o, but I'm not entirely sure on that answer yet, so if you come up with an answer that doesn't use o as the second letter, don't worry; you may be right and I might be wrong.

My partner thinks it's "molecules" but that doesn't make any sense to me. She might be right; I'm not very knowledgeable at this science stuff.

I would appreciate your help!

wtf am i doing wrong?

Q: The length of a given spring, at rest, is 10 cm. To stretch it to a length of 25 cm, one must exert a force of 15N.
Determine the work done (in Joules) to stretch the spring from length 10cm to length 25cm.

F(x) = -kx (hooks law)
F(x) = 100x

and Work = Force * Distance
thus work = 100*x^2, where x = 0.15M
so it should be 2.25 joules, right?
