Someone please explain to me in your retarded Christian pseudoscience terms how nuclear fusion power is supposed to work.

Atomic bombs work on what is called "nuclear fusion" because the plutonium collapses in on itself when it reaches "critical mass", as in you just dump a bunch of plutonium into a jar and boom. Nuclear fission power somehow leeches power off of uranium or plutonium (it was never explained to me). But how does nuclear fusion power work, or how would it work if it could, say, double the power put in (not in real terms but in terms of energy/electricity or whatever)? What would be the difference between a fission reactor and a fusion reactor, in simple terms?
