it has no magnetosphere to speak off. Which means the solar winds blow anything light into the infinite space while heavies like carbon dioxide are left cooking the thing.

It has barely any rotation and even then it is counter rotation compared to every single fucking planet in the entire system. Even Uranus which is on its side literally rolling along its orbit, one pole always facing the sun, one always in darkness. No rotation=no magnetosphere. Really crying shame too as otherwise it is almost perfectly the same size as earth while next door neighbor, much closer and acessible the fucking arctic desert Mars. Which means with cross world insemination being very much a thing with asteroid bombardments earth could have seeded venus with basic building blocks. That could have turned into a separate ecosystem mirroring earth if Venus was not smacked in the head in its youth
