I need to find the equation of the plane that passes through the point P (−2,3,1) and contains the line
x(t)=3−4t
y(t)=−2+4t
z(t)=−3−2t.

I thought to plug in values of t to find 2 more points on the line, so t=0 and t=1, which yield Q= (3,-2,-3) and R= (-1,2,-5) respectively. Then, I found the vectors PQ and PR, which are <5,-5,-4> and <1,-1,-6>, cross product(ed?) and got 26i + 26j + 0k = 26. Except this is a line not a plane.

Did I evaluate something wrong? Is my entire method the wrong one?
