article claims that an arrow 2 intercepted the houthi missile in space but that doesnt make sense. arrow 2 max altitude is 50-60km according to open sources, well below the definition of space. though it's possible that arrow 2 is upgraded to hit targets outside the atmosphere like arrow 3 is. but then they also claim that eyewitnesses on the ground reported hearing a loud explosion. if the target was intercepted outside of the atmosphere then how did anyone hear it? and if it was intercepted near the city as claimed, then that would clearly be in the terminal phase of the missiles flight, meaning that it would be in the atmosphere. the article doesnt even have any sources to back up their claim, let alone any expert commentary that would support it. the state of modern news is abysmal.
