Hi sci can you explain something. Are electrons created constantly or they are abundant as heck and they jump from one orbit/aton to the next?

Hey /sci/ so how come negatively charged electrons don't spiral and crash with the positively charged nucleus? I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the quantum theory. But not sure.

Given only a wavelength of an emitted photon, and the energy level of an electron that it has relaxed to (nfinal), how would one solve which energy level it initially fell from (for a hydrogen atom)?

Why is it so hard to move single atoms?

The reason I am asking this is because everything is made out of atoms, right? So we if we could move single atoms somewhat precisely we could just look at something, let's say pudding, and look how we have to piece together the atoms and then we could make pudding!

So we would have replicators and could make oil and water and all kinds of foods and more money and gold and diamonds for everybody and when somebody dies we just look at his atoms before he dies and then make him again.

What's the greatest scientific discovery in the last 20 years? Sequencing the human genome? The discovery of extrasolar planets?

When i was younger, my thoughts about space was that it works like atoms and is kinda like the atoms i our world.
The sice matches, and so does the spinning.

Now i have thrown that theory away.
what was your impression of space before?

the 4 forces all have different strengths depending on the size of the objects your working with. On the microscopic scale of atoms, the strong force dominates. on the macroscopic of planets, the electromagnetic, strong, and weak all cancel out and gravity is the only one left. of course there is the GUT energy, at which the weak, strong, and EM are unified into 1 massive force

whats inbetween atoms? is it some sort of force? is this force the reason for black holes? if a star gets so heavy that this force just isn't strong enough anymore to create this space inbetween the atoms, does this create black holes?

okay /sci/, /co/-/v/ here. i havent taken a science class since highschool, so excuse me for being a idiot, but i've always wondered this; (i asked my teacher back when i was in highschool and she couldnt tell me the answer)

see this atom? oh yes, its all well an good, being there with its electrons ect ect, but my question is, whats all the black? What occupies the space of a atom? all the black there, is it oxegyen? cant be that because oxygen is a composition too, isnt it?

Im a first time write to /sci/, and I just needed a bit of information. Im in high school, entering AP Physics B. I am also enrolled in only Algebra II, will this math coarse be enough for what I'll be doing in Physics?

I was watching a "Youtube Atheist" the other day and the guy (his nickname is Coughlan666) was trying to explain evolution to his retarded audience and damnit, he had not a fucking clue about how Natural Selection works, he explained anything BUT Natural Selection. So, why are they so adherent about something they clearly don't understand?
