Such nonsense! A machine that flys? Pure rubbish. Now if you excuse me, I must be on my way.

Good precious!

The convergency of your train of thought astoundingly resembles the collective efforts of a hymenopteran colony.

Well Gents; There is no direct "History" thread..so I thought, since you guys are well-learned in the ways of the world- I'll jump in here.
I have a question, well, more...the seeking of an opinion than an answer.
To do with World War 2.
The Nuclear Weapons which USA dropped on Japan to "Supposedly" end the war in the pacific.
NOW.
The question is-
Do you think that America's reasons for dropping the bombs were-
-purely based on ending the war and preventing a land based invasion- this high loss of US lives
-Showing the world their power, their capability to destroy vast amounts of industry with one bomb, this up-showing the USSR
-The growing hatred of the Japanese race by Americans in general. 13% of Americans in 1944 wanted to see the complete eradication of the Japanese race- every man, women and child.
Picture unrelated.
