Let me throw this out first. When he first started gaining attention, I remember his mom said in an interview that she knew he was a genius because he was able to teacher himself how to play the piano. I've seen videos of him doing it, and it sounds pretty bad. I mean all he does is try to pluck out melodies from classical music by ear, but he stumbles and never really gets it down.

Aside from that, he's definitely a smart kid. I think by the time he had already mastered calculus I was barely starting algebra.
