Mathematics student here with bipolar disorder with psychotic features. How do I know whether what I want to work on or to publish is completely crazy and unrealistic or not? I don't want to be so embarrassed of my professors that I won't be able to attend their lectures if I propose something completely crazy for publication.

What I was thinking of is a theory of dynamic graphs, in either continuous or discrete time. Does it sound completely crazy?
