I would argue that only those at the very top find themselves completely unable to relate to others. I would also say that extreme introversion is more personality based and related to mild mental illness. Do you feel disgust toward everyone around you? Are you depressed? Do you think you are unworthy of company? Do you have difficulty trusting people or opening up? Are you an asshole? etc. Some people are just socially retarded since childhood. This is not something to be especially proud of or view as a sign of superiority.
Even very high IQ individuals can overcome that sense of isolation and forge meaningful relationships.

Is there such thing as a human sub species? Is genetic science largely controlled by political correctness? How come every single species has a sub species except for us?
