i am going into my 2nd year of a physics degree, and my first year was the first time i'd ever tried programming (C++)

anyway, now im actually enjoying programming , but i was wondering whether its worthwhile doing alot of it if i want to end up doing physics after i graduate? I've started doing some project euler, and i just wonder how much is applicable to physics.

TL;DR - is a good knowledge of C++ useful to physics research?
