Thanks for the tip though I don't think I can apply it as is. Its directly on GPU and to implement anything assessing the entire texture each frame would be a big performance cost. Later on I can maybe do display through CPU and then doing such a thing would be easy, but I don't think thats the issue here. I can manually adjust for time being

I did find one issue in that the randomness function I was using was biased to positive values. Fixed that, and now with fresh seeded noise it stays neutral instead of slightly hot.

The gif in last post was just with noise at 1, at 1000 its like this. This is what I mean by different behavior lol, way more fuzzy
