Depends on what even counts as interesting to you.
Normies like to argue endlessly about politics, religion, and their pseudo-philosophical beliefs. They enjoy speculation and emotion over facts and logic because that allows for endless debate and thus endless entertainment. That's what "interests" them. Mathematics is usually too clear-cut to count as "interesting", and while science does have some controversies they aren't as accessible as political controversies and most normies don't want to put in the time and effort to understand what the controversy is even about, they just want an excuse to parrot their favorite talking points and politics is a better field for that.
If you're a loser loner, you're much more likely to find science interesting beyond watching Carl Sagan and wearing t-shirts that read "I Fucking Love Science!"
It's all about not being caught up in normie fads. Normie life is too fast while studying science takes time and dedication. You'll end up feeling left behind if you try to understand science while living a normie life.
