So the info coming out of China has been a little strange. there are now 24 confirmed cases of this flu and we know the family of one of the patients had two other deaths of "pneumonia" just days apart from the H7N9 death, and about 1/3 of the confirmed cases have died, suggesting that there may be many more cases that haven't been confirmed. so what is /sci's/ take on this? could this be the start of a new SARS like pandemic?

So, what's your plan if one ever does happen?

Here's what i'd do:
Not do what the radio said about survivors gathering in one place since that's a shit idea. Wait for all the riots and shit to calm down, essentially just stay at home, board up my house and only venture out for supplies from super markets.

Weapons would be tricky, here in the UK we don't own firearms, so i'd have to improvise with something. Which would most likely be a cricket bat or a shovel.
