how can one be purely agnostic? Atheism is the lack of belief in a deity, not the denial that they might exist. Theism is the belief that there is a divinity, not the denial that they might not. In fact, you don't even need to discard metaphysics or paranomalities to be an atheist, just have a lack of belief that there is a divine being or power.

so how can you be agnostic without ALSO being atheist, or theist?
