HELP!
When I try to imagine infinity, I start by imagining myself in a room. I then expand the walls of the room, but my mind can only expand the walls at finite speed so I'd basically have to wait forever to have an infinitely large room. Also I can only imagine an VERY VERY LARGE room, not an infinitely large room. My mind just can't visualize infinity, although the mathematical abstractness of it makes perfect sense.

I seem to have a hard time focusing unless I'm doing something. Sleeping is difficult for me, it's like a torrent of thoughts, heart racing, that sort of thing. I'm doing online courses obviously and I can't help but start spinning in my chair, drawing stuff, looking up things on the internet. Reading books is difficult because I can keep going over the same paragraph as my mind wanders. The thing is that i can become super focused on certain things, including drawing and doing math problems. I can spend over an hour sitting there drawing a ship and be completely immersed. Same goes for math problems. Can't tell if it's willpower or maybe ADHD. What are some signs? How do I deal with this?

What's the best psychological technique to give up on solving problems? I've got this issue where if I start a problem, I am basically angry until I find a fully rigorous solution. It is actually quite debilitating. I am unable to scan through textbooks quickly, for example. If I see one practice problem and can't work out a solution within 15-30 minutes, I don't take a note, give up and move on like I should. Instead, I spend the entire rest of my day fucking around with it to the exclusion of cooking, eating, sleeping, my actual research, and of course, making actual progress on my studying. I know I would even be better if I looked at the problem again the next day, but I just can't. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you give up?
