>The fourth dimension is time

Is this actually an accepted truth, or does it reveal someone to be a pseud?
How can a dimension be in any order? There is nothing separating up from left in absolute terms, and if there actually were an extra spatial dimension separate from time, then would you have to call that the fifth dimension by this absurd logic?

There's infinite higher spatial dimensions as far as I'm aware. Time is the 4th dimension in spacetime but there's still only 3 spatial dimensions. Here's an animation of a 4D cube rotating in space. You'll find lots of examples if you Google "4D visualization" or similar

That's literally what's going on right? Each dimension can hold the dimensions below within it.
So our universe is just some thing existing in a 4th dimension. Possibly just a construct, or simulation of higher beings. Makes perfect sense right?
Even those biblically accurate angels everyone talks about is just exactly the way a 4th dimensional being would look in 3 dimensions.
Easy shit.
I'm way more interested in what's going on in the 4th dimension than this one. Because this one is just an infrastructure to contain life. I don't want to be a monkey studying his fucking enclosure. I want to know what exists beyond the enclosure and who put me here and why.
If a being existed in 4th dimension, it would see every face of a shape all at once. So they are literally just feely noclipping and scrolling thru space and time.
What do you guys think about a higher dimension where our universe is just a construct within it? It would be like playing a video game and flying outside of the skybox. Beyond the skybox is an infinite white void. To characters in the game, congratulations you are looking beyond your observable universe. But to us, their entire observable and unobservable universe is contained in a little Macbook Pro that exists in another expansive, far more intricate, three dimensional fucking universe.
That's probably how we are to the dimension above.
What are the best resources that talk about this? Because it makes most sense to me by far. It explains so many things.

The fourth dimension and beyond is just a scam. There's no real evidence or use of it.

Look at the pic. It's just a 3D object with 3D morph effects.

In math, dimensions is the minimum required coordinates for specify a point.
A point P in a space with n dimensions can be represented by a vector [math]\vec{p}[/math] (list, array, ordered list) with n entries.
[math]\vec{p}=(p_1, \ldots, p_n)[/math] where [math]n \in \mathbb{N}[/math]
>
So a point in 3D Space can be represented by a vector [math]\vec{p}=(p_1, p_2, p_3) =
(x, y, z) [/math]
4D Relativity Space-Time add a extra entry for time [math]\vec{p}=(p_1, p_2, p_3, p_4) = (t, x, y, z)[/math]
>
In Edward Witten version of String Theory work in 11 dimensions instead of 4.
>
Economics & Statistics can work with several more dimensions
>Example 1
imagine a vector [math]\vec{p}=(p_1, p_2, p_3, p_4, p_5, p_6)[/math] which each coordinate represents a data form acountry.
[math]p_1[/math] is the Net exports
[math]p_2[/math] is the Military budget
[math]p_3[/math] is the National Investment in Education
[math]p_4[/math] is the Taxes
[math]p_5[/math] is the Government Expense in Social security & Health
>Example 2
Imagine a vector [math]\vec{p}=(p_1, p_2, p_3, p_4, p_5, p_6, p_7)[/math] where
[math]p_1[/math] is the amount of Apples, [math]p_2[/math] of Oranges, [math]p_3[/math] of Bananas, [math]p_4[/math] of Pineapple, [math]p_5[/math] of Grapes, [math]p_6[/math] of Avocado, [math]p_7[/math] of watermelon.

How we can visualize dimensions higher than 3? There are many Techniques for it:
1) Projection http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projection
2)Contour Lines http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contour_lin
3)Statistical Charts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chart
4)Tesseract http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesseract
5)Color Gradient

Actually I saw also the point->line->plane->cube explanation before in books about design, psychology & architecture. It's based on Ancient Greek Math (Euclid, Pythagoras). But this is archaic & obsolete.

This animation hints at the complexity that emerges when points in 4D are linked together to create basic four-dimensional objects. The object shown here is the 4D equivalent of a cube, known as a tesseract. To create this animation, the tesseract was rotated in four dimensions, then projected into three dimensions.

Philosophy has its place in science. It serves us when we have little else to go on. What is M Theory but philosophy? We have to use philosophy to imagine things we cannot perceive with our current technology and understanding.
