Master your algebra first--you don't want to be stuck making retarded mistakes like forgetting the distributive property or not knowing how to add fractions. Then get an introductory textbook to calculus like Thomas Calculus and make sure you get an answer key also. Do all the practice problems and make sure you have a full understanding before you move to the next topic. If you get through the entire textbook--which usually takes between 6 months and a year for beginners--then you can think about exploring physics.
