Besides, as anon explained earlier it really didn't cure me. It was a mistake to call it a "cure" on my part. It treated the symptoms.

Yes, however I technically didn't have a choice in the matter either. It was either I decide or listen to bitching and then taken to the doctor by my parents. That sounds like a cope but now that I can actually choose and take off those days and recover on my own I haven't been to one since. As it was that was literally the only time I can remember going to a doctor.

Most people don't know. Even Ken rediscovered it in Platos republic. Also the "aether" was "disproved" by the Michelson Morley experiment according to these people, even though it only disproved ONE theory of it.
On top of "because refrigerator mechanic said so" you also have "because Jesus said so", or "Angel Moroni said so", or "Allah said so" or the lesser known "because timecube said so" crowds adding to the mix.

It is a funding thing. Also it's a "groupthink" thing. Billions of dollars go to these people so they can continue fucking around with electromagnetism and its effects, then they call each effect something "discrete" so that it looks like a "Completely new discovery".
