How do I convince my Dad that alkaline water isn't a magic cure all and isn't better than normal filtered water?

I don't even understand what the supposed claims are because it just sounds like buzzword bullshit to me. I tried explaining that stomach acid will neutralize any alkaline substances anyway. My Dad claims that eating a lot of acidic food causes your body to take stuff out of your bones to combat the acidic foods. I'm honestly so surprised by this bullshit I don't even know what to say. Even if that was true drinking water with some dissolved minerals isn't going to do shit more than eating like a reasonable adult. Fucking pisses me off when family members fall for stupid shit like this. And he actually thinks he's smart and that I have to thank him for the smart genes.
