So only 2,2% are on the 130+ range, being in the 1,0% mean having 135+ IQ, but somehow IQs that high aren't enough for /sci/...

Even tho 50% of people are in the (90 - 110) range, the average /sci/ poster would look to those numbers with disdain...

What is happening is that /sci/ posters are both obsessed with intelligence and oblivious about their own intelligences. What hsppens on /sci/ is the same that happens in Reddit, atheist communities, rationalist circles and academia: blind narcissism. Basically, you guys inflate your own notion of self since you guys can't deal with the idea of not being special. It's easier to pretend to be a genius than to accept the reality that you may just be average. Also, not only that, but you guys also have a very inflated ego tied to this perception of intelligence, and this is a bad thing.

what's the minimum electrical theory i have to know to do electronics repair? i'm a maths major but i've always wanted to be handy with electronics. any book recommendations for the most basic electrical theory and electronics? i don't want to be dealing with surface integrals or anything just to learn how to fix a motherboard
