1. poeple from other 4chan boards come here to ask us about questions that arose on thier board, which they thinnk we can answer becasue we're sci. We either answer thier question or tell them to fuck off, depending on how trite it is. For instance, sometimes //k/ will come in here to argue about balllsitics.
2. people come here to troll. They post things like "science vs religioun" threads, or they propose some whackjob thoery of everything that has nothing to do with anything, or they post some hogwash worthy of /x/
3. They post about thier homework assignment and want us to help them solve it. Early in the days of this board there was a board rule "no homework threads." It was glorious. But it was eventually dropped.
4. We talk about futurism. sometimes this bleeds over into discussions that belong on /pol/ and not /sci/
5. People come here and cannot into TeX, so they post some fucked up script and thier math equations dosen't render properly and we tell them they should "lrn 2 TeX"
6. For some reason, we think that engineers are homosexuals, computer science is not math, and biology isn't a real science.
