If you can't know nuffin, then how can you know that you can't know nuffin?

Why are there no black science Nobel prize laureates in the year 2012?

I have two groups, Group A and B. Both groups contain an infinite number of monkeys, which are hitting random keys on typewriters for an infinite amount of time.

Does the random writings of Group A at any point contain the exact sequence of random writings of Group B?

Let's say I now have an infinite number of these groups and I put the writings of all the groups into an Array. Let's call this array the Mega Array.

Does the Mega Array contain the writings of Group A and B? Does it contain any or all of the irrational numbers?

Does the Mega Array contain itself?

So /sci/, basically everything we believe to be true come from all things we take as facts. For instance, you and me believe the energy produced by the sun comes from the nuclear fusion in its core, because we take as a fact what we read in a science magazine or on Wikipedia. Some people believe in a God because they take as a fact that he exists.

Now I was wondering, what are the facts that make some people believe in the human soul and some not? I'd say that if we were given a list of facts, and were to draw a conclusion based on these facts alone without using our own experiences or beliefs, then we would pretty much all come to the same conclusion, here on /sci/ or anywhere else. Depending on the list of facts given, the conclusion might be that the human soul exists or that it doesn't.

What I'm trying to convey here is, don't humans all reason pretty much the same way, but because they base their reasoning on different facts they are led to different conclusions in the end?

Well, at least they were aware of it. I only got to see it on the live stream because I didn't have any equipment and the majority of the event happened in the night over here. But still, with just the live stream, I was able to experience such an event which helped my understanding of exactly how vast the universe is and how beautiful it is. And even then, Venus and the Sun are nothing in the universe. I think my eyes got watery after second contact.

How such a simple act of a planet overtaking our view of the sun can invoke such deep feelings, eh?

It was a good night.

If humans are supposedly the superior species, why did they "need" to evolve, obtain intelligence, invent shit, migrate, ect.? Aren't other species more advanced, in the sense that they can survive and get by with less?

Assuming that the current state of the world remains constant, humanity's future-state will be defined by economic classes. There'll be those who can afford to prolong the inevitable, through the use of technological adaptations that will be provided by the exponential, technological innovation (which they will both invest in and profit from) - and then, there'll be everyone else, who were unable to secure enough capital to benefit from said innovations, left with the two, less efficient means to adapt as a population (culturally and biologically).

Thus, in a way, humans will eventually be ruled by rich, self-interested robots, who's end-game is to remain conscious in order to continue the chess game that they started. That is, if all things remain equal from now.

Thinking poses.
When engaged in thought what poses do you adopt?
I poke the tip of my tongue out of the left corner of my mouth. I consciously adopted this at first but now it has become a habit.

Shit guys i'm really sorry to bother you but I need to do a homework for philosophy and I don't know what to write.

Please don't spam this thread because our proffesor is really nuts and he will easily fail me if I don't do it properly and I'm really dumb as far as philosophy is concerned, I don't know shit about it, so it would really be nice for you to help me in any way you can.,

I'm supposed to write something about:
Science and it's limits as to what it is able to do and what it should be allowed to do.
