it is that step, but it's not weird. Doing it either way is totally equivalent and they always give the same answer when the exponent of infinity is the same on top and bottom. It's these idiots who don't know how to take a limit when they refuse to acknowledge that either method always gives the same answer for equal exponents of infinity. In this case, infinity is raised to the power of one on top and bottom.
