I don't know if you know, but you totally do see different constellations from the same vantage point on Earth over time. The scale of the distance to the stars you see at night, is completely incomparable with the size of the diameter of our orbit around the sun. Also the direction of the side of the earth facing away from the sun changes very gradually (the dark side (the side experiencing "night") is always the side facing away from the sun, of course), and therefore, the direction that our night sky is facing in space changes.
