To this day, the rationalist still cannot tell what the causation is. What is knowledge, what is reason, what is truth, that is objectivity, what is reality, what is a cause....
the rationalist cannot even motivate why he believes that reality/knowledge/objectivity/reality/truth/certainty matters. He has not a single clue.

The rationalist-liberal attempts to save the human rights in praying very hard that the science [that he thinks is about knowledge and truth] backs up his contrived human rights.
naturally, it fails, especially once that the science itself undermines his believes.

So after three centuries of explicit sterility from the rationalist, the pursuit of knowledge for the sole sake of knowledge, he falls back, from his fantasized objectivity, to what he calls the ''inter-subjectivity'': that there exists objective rules/algorithms to personal judgements. Of course, this inter-subjectivity is his latest attempt to save his stance and, on the social plane, the human rights. He admits, through this inter-subjectivity, that science is no longer about truth, but about efficiency. He says that, for instance, you could disagree on whether such film is good, but we CANNOT disagree on what makes a film good.
The rationalist faces thus his despair and knows that he is weak. He still continue his terrorism since only the rationalist is persuaded that his inter-subjectivity is relevant.

it remains quite funny when the libertarian/liberal populace wish that the politicians would match more their fantasized picture of the detached egoless scientists waking up each morning for the sake of the human rights....

at least the people who say this show that they know nothing about science nor research.
