Do any of you have any recommendations for Statistical mechanics textbooks? ideally ones that are really clear, cover both quantum and classical perspectives, have some worked examples and have easy-to-understand derivations that are easy to follow.

My lecturer's course leaps about in a completely senseless and difficult to understand order and so I really need to resort to a good textbook to get through this course.
Do any of you had good experiences with stat. mech books? Are there any you would recommend?
