The STEM gap is mostly a myth used to justify outsourcing and push student loans. That being said a STEM careers are growing, albeit not as much as they are hyped for, and you probably wont be mopping floors anytime soon. Just dont expect 300K starting any job you want.

Agree with both of you on intelligence definition being a little loose, I personally think the word intelligence should be related only to characteristics that properly relate to our "intellectual scope", like imagination, logic, empathy, wisdom, idk.

The nigger next door is not even close to your intelligence, that means he'll never see things and rationalize about them the same way you do. Just like you'll never be on the same intellectual plateau as Einstein. That's what intelligence should be about, it's what define us as humans and individuals, it's what we are.

Hand-eye coordination, hearing sensitivity, quick thinking, and all the other brain related functions are nothing more than tools and accessories, they are not you, you are your intelligence.

I cannot agree with this trend of putting everything in the same boat.

I should be something like this:
Intelligence and its subcategories
Mental skills and its subcategories
