This is the big IF here. Such a scenario would basically all but confirm that their plans will be delayed by 26 months, so that they can try again with the updated vehicle in the next window. They will at least get valuable data with the first batch, so that's something.

Software engineers over at spacex would be in a race against the clock to review and update everything they can. If they aren't fast enough, they could lose the entire vehicle, and potentially delaying everything by 2 years. Talk about pressure.
