You will lose much more. The US might lose NY, Miami, LA, basically all coastal cities. Even entire states like Florida. Nations like the Netherlands will cease to exist. It will not happen over night, but these losses will hurt.

Climate change would have hit us much harder if our Sun would be more active. This gives us une last chance to change our behaviour before it's too late. But we will probably waste it.

Much of US cost (especially Florida) is barely above sea level. So even a small rise may cost us large coastal areas. Higher tides and stronger more frequent hurricanes are already a a problem right now. Warming means tropical diseases move north and no wall can stop it. It also mean more forest fires. Large agricultural areas in Europe and North America could become steppe.
