Anyways, what makes you think that's the live or not live test? Many people didn't go to university and became something more than a good portion of university students. Many people have failed classes and years even, but still continued on and eventually succeeded in becoming what they wanted to be. Also, that's not the only measurement of success. Sure, some people's biggest goal in life is to have a prestigious academic and/or STEM career. However, some might be more focused on ensuring they have a spiritually fulfilling life. Some might just want to make sure they make the best family they could and be there to witness their (future) children do better than they did.

There are many different measurements in life for what people see as success and not success, OP.
