Interesting. Sounds like they're aiming for a starship-like solution. But they're being very tight-lipped on what this would actually look like.
Pic related is interesting, though. An engine with a nozzle that doubles as a heat shield and that possesses "not previously considered" novel geometry.

Is it even possible to make a smaller rocket with a reusable 2nd stage? I mean, the F9 is pretty huge but the resusable 2nd stage project was scrapped due to the payload loesses being unacceptable.
