Pilot/engineer here.
>bernoullis principle is wrong.
No it isn't, but the common notion of how an airfoil works is fallacious.

Wing deflects airflow downward, airflow pushes back.

>how would helicopters fly? they don't have airfoil shaped blades.
Yes they do...
>>4235636
Spot-on.
>>4235656
The common fallacy is that "because the distance is further over the top of the wing, the air has to move faster there." This is based on the incorrect notion that the air on top and bottom must cross the wing in the same amount of time (which is not true; in fact, the air over the top usually takes LESS time to reach the trailing edge at positive angles of attack).
Bernoulli still holds for low mach, but it doesn't really EXPLAIN squat.

Nope, it has everything to do with AOA.
>>4235792
>actually the jet engines create low pressure in fron of them
At supersonic speeds, that's physically impossible.
>>4238512
>catch up with the air underneath
WROOOOOOOOOOONG
>Why does it give a fuck about catching up with the air that went underneath.
It doesn't. But the fact is, it's usually AHEAD of the air below anyways.

What do you want me to do now? Plot turn rate vs. time and post it?

You're welcome. =P
