Now I just have to open a book, after 2 years of literally no studying, and catch up with those 7 failed subjects...

Greeting /sci/. I just completed my first year studying Physics (Yuropoor here, so just roll with "Physics", I don't get to choose the subjects) and I think I screwed up abit. or rather, I got screwed.

1st semester started well enough. I was still slacking, but I managed to pull off a 10 in Lab, an 8 in Math, a 7 in Physics (one question wrong, 3 points down...) and only screwed up in Linear Algebra (left that for later), Programming I (I had never touched programming before, so having to learn both Fortran and C++ in 2 months was a bit hard, resulting in a 6,5) and Chemistry (4,5). Not perfect, but for somebody who never studied, it's good enough as a first semester.

Then came the 2nd one. I failed Differential Equations, I failed Physics, I failed another Math class, and only got an 8 at Lab II & 5,5 at Programming II. So yeah, pretty awful. Granted, I got through ear infections, being stranded for 2 weeks without books, and other stuff, but still.

Anyway, I studied during the summer and tried again for Physics and Chemistry. Physics,I got 7 again (honestly I was expecting more, but whatever) but then Chemistry came and... I got a 5. And 5 is definitely NOT what I wrote. I knew of some mistakes, but they were like, 1% or 4% out of 100%.

And here's the problem. I cannot change this. As soon as it's in, it's in. So, how fucked am I? Our Unis are famously corrupt, so I knew from the get go someone like me would never be allowed a 9 or a 10 when I got out, but I thought with enough work I could get a 7 or an 8. But now I'm filled with 5s & 6s! I'm going to do my Post-Grad on something engineering related so I don't have delusions about being the next Newton, but is it possible or am I completely fucked? Will I be able to land a college at the US or the UK or will everybody show me the door?

PS: Here the grading system goes from 0 to 10.
