How much harder is electrical engineering? What are the most difficult classes? I'm 3rd year ME student (engineering takes 5 years here) thinking about going for EE. I did pretty good in all my physics classes (electromagnetism, statics, fluid mechanics, modern physics, mathematical analysis, etc.).

I'm getting into EE next year. The thing is I know jackshit about what electrical engineers actually do, like, what is a typical day of a typical electrical engineer on a typical EE job like? Can anyone describe it to me, because I have literally no idea what it would be like and I'm going into the field completely blind. I picked it because I like Physics but I also wanted to actually get a decent job, and as a physicist that would be harder. Electrical Engineering sounded like the coolest engineering major so yeah, that's why I picked it. Am I fucked? Will I like it? Do you need a lot of "social skills"? (Because I'm awkward with people (not completely autistic, tho))

EE thread I guess.

Is electrical engineering a good major? Is it the BEST engineering major?

I mean, it has more physics and maths in its curriculum than all the others engineering mayors.

I'm between Applied Maths, Physics and EE, and I'm more inclined on EE at the moment, as it seems more interdisciplinary.

I'm interested in hearing some EE job experiences, as I don't know much about the actual jobs that EEs do.

/sci/ what are some good resources for someone starting to take electrical engineering in uni? any good downloads of PDFs?

Don't feel like going to the libary and paying fees later on.
