Is ADHD or ADD real?

As a kid i was diagnosed ADD, but in adulthood come to find out i never had it and had been a genre of schizophreni the whole time. A smaller sibling of mine was just diagnosed and im skeptical. After some amateur-tier research it (seems) to be a huge dibacle in the scientific community.
