Chemist in academia here, not industry but it's really demanding work. I love it though.
Even though it's not the aim of my work, I'm constantly discovering new shit that's never been recognized before. It's amazing to do something and see that you've just uncovered fresh knowledge about a specific reaction or the stability of a molecule.
