Being dead or not existing would be unarguably the weirdest experience if it's even possible to "experience it". Like if I have a computer and I reboot it every day, then I suddenly stop using it, from the pov of the computer (if it could even have one) it went from turning off and on 1000 times to just infinite nothing.
IF (biggest if in the universe) something is part of us that lets us exist in any form beyond death, we'd have
-no memories
-no sensations
-no emotions
-no instincts
the fuck would we even be at that point?

basically the only ways out of oblivion are all completely unprovable unlikely asspulls

-god/entity is playing the sims ∞ (and all bad things are because it's cool to watch fucked up shit) and he got the afterlife dlc with a simulation
-brain is a conduit for your soul and you keep all those experiences and shit somehow afterwards, then maybe you hook yourself into another body and start over again
-you're in a super high level simulation in the equivalent of a mall VR kiosk and they download a new experience into your brain every few seconds to simulate immortality
-reincarnation is real and you better hope you're not a tree for 300 years
-(you) are the only real entity in existence, you basically just fuck around and play with "yourself" and everyones a fake construct (you) made. narcissism was right.

Something COULD happen to continue your existence when you're dead, but its unlikely as fuck and would mean there's a layer of existence we can't perceive or that everything around us is fake bullshit

Incorrect.
Just like we can simulate worlds with laws that are nothing like the real world, nothing stops other beings from doing the same.

Your perception of the theory is incomplete

here is an idea
when we expect this to be simulation, we assume there is so much more outside of it we cant even think of. but what if it is a dream or thought?

a dream is everything of this world, + what we can imagine. what if the reality this one is based upon is much more dull and boring as this world already springs from the imagination of the beings in the upper reality. further more the reality above us could just be a dream or thought too, making the reality that reality is based upon even less vast and complex. this could go on until there are beings living in a 2D world imagining the 3rd dimenstion. which in turn was imagined by an enthity living in a 1 dimensional world dreaming of the 2nd dimension. now one dimensional would be a line, or a sequence of something being there or not, 0s or 1s, binary code. however what if that thought, of something being there, is imagined by an entithy living in complete nothingness (the source) imagining how it could be if there is something. This very first thought would have been what scientist call the big bang. that enthity dreams of something more, the 2nd dimension, that of the 3rd, those beings then think of different senses you could have until we reach this reality.

however it probably goes then the other way too. our dreams are also dreaming of more and more, imagining things we cant.

So do we live in a simulation /sci/?

There's some evidence that our reality is a computer simulation. But if you think about it a computer simulation doesn't need to be simulated by a computer. It could be created by a meat computer or living being. It's much more likely we're literally living in someone else's cosmic dream.

If Platos Cave theory proves correct then we'll it shouldn't be possible for us to contemplate life outside the dream, much like it's impossible for the brain to visualize 4 dimensions of space. However we're able to create a computer that can compute 4D space so that sorta disproves Platos Cave theory.

That's enough out of me. I wonder tho, do people in our dreams have dreams of their own?

Most likely we are living in a simulation. For every real universe there are many simpler simulations. Only in our primitive civilization there are millions of simulated worlds, be it for study, educational or just for fun.

I wouldn't mind learning I'm an artificial intelligence, but I'd like some more hands-on teaching from our creators.
