How much more contagious are we talking here? Why all the lockdown measures when it has been demonstrated that they are negligible in terms of effectiveness?

I know we don't have all the answers yet, but I need something a little better than assumptions. It's a shame about the virus mutating the way it has been, however. If I get the vaccine, what is stopping a stronger, undiscovered variant from infecting me? They are coming out with new strains in several countries, there is no way a vaccine conjured up so quickly will protect me from them. We still have a lot to figure out, no? The CDC and WHO already had to backtrack on their stance with masks, I don't want them putting anything in my body until they are 100% certain of what they are doing.

I'll go easy on you. Since you're obviously just looking for a fight, my advice to you is:
1. Get a job.
2. Pour water on your router and EMP your computer.
3. Talk to your family a lot more.
Hopefully your life improves a bit when you start doing those things. Your little comedy act here isn't getting any laughs.
