Hope you stopped at the first two doses because if you got any of the boosters, you've destroyed your immune system and some mundane coronavirus will end up ending you as your body no longer is able to adapt to anything other than the early Wuhan strains of SARS-CoV-2, which is just one of many many coronaviruses.
>People who have taken at least three doses of the original version of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine have been strongly immune imprinted, a study by the University of Washington (UW) found.
>Consequently, when vaccinated with the most recent COVID-19 XBB.1.5 mRNA boosters, recipients produced few to no antibodies specific to the XBB.1.5 variant, only antibodies for older, possibly extinct variants.

A few countries allowed those with a documented covid infection to delay getting the injections for a few months but most considered natural immunity to be a threat and attacked it as anti-science. Medical exemptions were very difficult to get, with doctors threatened with the loss of their license if a review board disagreed with their exemption. As a result, few doctors would write them, even if the patient's life could be in danger from the injections. The risk to their livelihood was too high and their commitment to their patients too low. Everything was rounded, smoothed, and angled to get everyone into the one and only acceptable path: getting injected.
Over on Hacker News (nicknamed Orange Reddit for good reason), a popular narrative was that since the injections had zero risk, everyone should be forced to get them to make the paperwork simpler. The pandemic response cost tens of trillions, by far the most expensive government spending event in modern history, and these people were "concerned" over the cost of tracking who did and didn't have a documented natural immunity or high risk factor.
Now they all want to pretend nothing happened.
>Time to move on, no one cares about that anymore.
They're like children that threw tantrums to get an expensive toy and now have dropped it on floor out of boredom with it.

>After all, if given the choice between immunity by vaccine and immunity by illness, then illness is by far more unpleasant, all side effects of the vaccine included
People who contracted covid pre-vaccine rollout were explicitly denied the ability to forego the injections even though they already had immunity. They didn't decide to choose infection over injection, it was something that already happened. In the US, having a documented case of covid didn't create a choice. In some parts of Europe, it got you the ability to delay the injections but not avoid them entirely.
"Given a choice" is the kind of disingenuous rhetoric that caused the health officials and politicians to lose credibility with people outside of the midwit zone. And here you are, posting as if those people had a choice, when they absolutely didn't. You've destroyed your credibility with that line alone but you don't care, you'll still keep up the charade of having some sort of moral and intellectual high ground despite needing to use deception to defend it.
