I don't understand why people,
even supposedly intelligent people seem to think that what you believe has any fucking relevance at all!


Here is the bottom line:

Scientific theory A claims to be applicable to the set of physical phenomena B, a contradiction has never been observed, and the theory has made testable predictions on B.

That is science in a nutshell...
Now let me clarify a few things

Does this justify believing that theory A is true? NO!
Does it justify believing that it is false? NO!
Does it mean the theory is correct? NO!

That's just how this fucking world works.. Deal with it. If you can't handle a reality in which nothing can be known for sure and nobody really gives a fuck what you "want" to be real or "believe" in, then just do yourself a favor and opt out (pic related)

(a) Through how many degrees must the bricklayer turn the winch to life the pallet by 1.0 ft?
(b) Through how many revolutions must the winch turn to life a pallet from the ground to the roof?

I found the circumference, but that doesn't help.
The height matters for part (b), but I can't figure out (a).
