My first time on /sci/.

I stumbled across a video on youtube that talks about Andrea Rossi's Energy Catalyzer (E-Cat). In the video the inventor (Rossi) claims that his device outputs a lot more energy than input.

I've been reading about it a bit and haven't found any solid news on his device. Is it a hoax?

Rossi's company EFA terminated the relationship with Defkalion, this means no 1 MW plant in october in Greece, Rossi claims that it will be in America instead.

This is pretty disappointing, and just deepens the circus that's goes around this.

Some new information about Rossi's Energy Catalyzer: he got a U.S. partner.
The interesting part is that he already got paid. So far he stated that he will only get paid if he delivers the 1 MW plant and it works, at least the argument that he only loses his own money if it turns out to be a scam doesn't stand anymore.

He seems convinced, and we can't possibly know how much research he'd done on this, but he is in a position where he's able to make a difference, so lets hope for the best.

So possible timeline before we know how it works?
Lets say first units get shipped in November 1st, someone picks it apart and we know what the catalyst is on the 2nd?
Sounds reasonable?
