If I understand this correctly, African Americans have virtually no Neanderthal DNA while every other race does to some extent; Jews seem to have the highest prevalence of Neanderthal DNA in their genome and they coincidentally have higher IQs on average. So, can I reasonably say that Neanderthal DNA is linked to intelligence?

at best there was some admixture but that's unlikely
it's most likely either another actual ancient human (not neanderthal) OR population substructure with ancient DNA

Question to all /pol/tards there whining that we never want to discuss race issues:
Accepting that in terms of mean values there is a significant difference between races produced by natural selection in parameters such as IQ and aggresiveness that would take too much time to surpass.
How could a position against racemixing be intellctually sustainable given that the races that are ahead now do have a very significant component of Neanderthal genes in their genepool? If one is to accept that the difference between ethnic groups are 100% based on genetics, wouldn't that mean that whay you believe to be the superior genetic makeup was born out of the combination with a seemingly inferior group?
What kind of logic can you use to justify the cease of a process that was the very cause of what you're trying to protect?

Why did the neanderthals disappear? Did they "merge" with us? Or did they just die? How can they just disappear like that? Surely they must have been adaptable, some cold winds can't be that bad can it?

Suppose homo sapiens and neanderthals could not produce fertile offspring. Because of this, all neanderthal-homo sapiens children die without reproducing. Since neanderthals went extinct ~40,000 years ago, and neanderthal DNA is present in large amounts in basically all modern non-sub-saharan humans, it seems like the vast majority of human-neanderthal children were fertile.

Any americans interested in this should try to get to the human origins exhibit in the smithsonian museum of natural history in Washington DC. They have one of the most complete neanderthal skeletons on display, and a ton of really cool info + models
