hey /sci/ I was thinking about Power, and how you can determine instantaneous power, and also power over a certain amount of time

P = Fv and P = W/t

with the first one you can determine the power at any specific moment, and the second one you can determine the power over a length of time

I am kind of confused as to how these relate through calculus

I tried to do something myself by going like this:

P = Fv
P = mav
P = m(dv/dt)(dx/dt)
P = m(dvdt/dt^2)

and well, I'm not too sure what I'm doing here. I've never seen dt^2 before, does that actually work?
