For blackjack there's more fundamental strategy than counting cards.

Who gambles? What do you play? what system do you use? What are your expected returns?

Sup /sci/,

So ever since someone trolled with the martingale betting strategy for roulette i've been working with it in my own time to try and make it profitable. Its basically impossible with roulette, you can marginalize the expected loss by playing more than one of the 1:1 bets (you can actually bet both red and black and get a return until you inevitably lose it all)

But the odds of roulette are actually not great, (9/19 US or 18/37 EU) but what about if you used it with blackjack? Using the standard strategy you can with some games edge the odds up, almost into your favor, (0.4% house advantage or 62/125) which makes the chances of seven consecutive losses considerably smaller.

What do you think?

It means sweet fuck all if you have memorized the standard betting system.

counting cards is simple. For every high card you add 1, for every low card you subtract 1. If your number is at -7 what do you think will be next high or low?
