Anti-socialists hold the position that socialism is flawed because no human will willingly work for the benefit of society rather than the benefit of themselves. Some humans clearly are not capable of working towards any goal other than their personal gain, but others are capable of handling a position of power responsibly to work towards the benefit of society. With a transparent democratic government it is possible to ensure only people who handle power responsibly can achieve and maintain power.

I advocate for a mix of socialism and capitalism. Pure capitalism is not concerned for values which are important to me like the quality of life for those who do not have the wealth to buy things to improve their quality of life. In a society of pure capitalism someone's only value is their capital. I believe a human's value should be more than that alone.
