Going by the percentiles I know there are less than a million people smarter than me. Many of them live in 3rd world countries and will never have access to education. That means after combining my superior cognitive abilities with my polymath knowledge I am top elite tier.

sure you can have fun crunching numbers all day for a pretty damn good salary, but why not be the guy who hires the eggheads and makes even more money off of their hard work?

I work almost exclusively with stats on a day to day basis and have no real calc experience. I couldn't prove the formulas if you asked me too, but I have a pretty solid grasp and can get through my work load alright.

The most represented political affiliation in Mensa is the Libertarian Party.

Life is a wonderful breeze with a high IQ. I really wish every person on Earth could have this gift.

Hey /sci/
Not really a hard science, but since this is the only board that is reasonably intelligent, I wanted to ask you why you think the United States education system doesn't seem to work nearly as well as other countries.

We are somewhere around the 20's in the average of our scores, but we have the highest total education budget, and we spend more per captia than many other countries who have beat us out in scores.

Is it the teachers, is it the lack of accountability? Do we push students along and maintain mediocre graduation rates by dumbing our content down?

Inb4 the Anon who complained about the pot thread bieng OT, this has to do with our education system which is just a stepping stone to a higher education.
