I should add, this is a real thing and is done with compression fractures, they put spacer plates in, which consists of a series of pins and at least in my case a nail going through your hip. There's a sliding place that's inserted so that when it heals your broken leg isn't a different leg than the original, but a similar thing could be done to break your leg and have it extended ever so slightly repeatedly. Again I would definitely not recommend this, breaking your femur and bone cancer are the top two worst things you can do, but if you do choose to you'll be prepared for any torture.
