ah yes i love imageboards but i cant deny theyve made me ill

uhh gotta make this a sci thread so i dont get banned again....
can science explain why i can never take new or adult things into stride and always treat everything overconscientiously to the point that i never really get anywhere and never absorb anything as an unconscious habit or part of my character.

>The subject is obviously evading my question about The Mentalist because of his deeply rooted need for social validation. Interestingly, he still commits to this practice even in an anonymous forum.
So did your father play ball with you when you were a child?

>program high voltage source in Labview so that it shuts off when reaching a certain threshold
>note: I have very little experience with Labview
>do several of my experiments, seems to work fine
>start to pull off the cables from my experiment
>accidentally touch one of the prongs
>get huge shock, luckily someone was standing behind me and immediately pulled me away
>turns out my program was faulty and did not actually turn off the output, despite claiming to have done so in the interface

I'm not sure how dangerous the situation actually was (source was in constant current mode, low current, high voltage), but it certainly hurt and I'm just gonna turn off all power sources now before I fiddle with cables.

This is a bit of an odd topic, but anyway:

Ever since my university e-mail was posted on the website of a research group that I worked in, I've been getting many odd spam mails, including invitations to dubious conferences and long walls of text of crackpot theories full of spelling errors.

Does anybody else have that problem?
