the way i see it, abortion is okay until the foetus reaches a state of around 70-80% development.
abortions are not relatively time constrained decisions, and its highly unlikely a woman would not realise she is pregnant 2-3 months after conception, so the excuse of late abortion is out the window.
for me, the argument over abortion is purely political and bred in ignorance. women should have the damn right until the foetus becomes near-fully developed.
would a woman want to bear the child of a rapist? a few might but the rest dont.
Add into this the population problem (and it is a problem), abortion should be legal. /rant
i totally disagree with that article, what next? killing children that have no potential? adults that have not been deemed "fit for society"?
the sheer lack of an ethical and moral compass in these people is absurd.

/sci/, you're smart, so I figured I might as well come to you with this - Why are people with average intelligence so afraid/feel so threatened by people who are more intelligent than them?

It's astounding to me how Intelligence is heralded throughout the world as a positive trait, but the actual use and application of that intelligence to real-world people will be met with responses like ''How about I beat the shit out of you?'', ''Nobody cares/Who cares?'', and of course, ''Cool story, bro.'' and ''tl;dr''. Is it the purpose of the average intellect to marginalize and rip the intelligent from their pedestal in order to vindicate themselves? Has this question been put into focus by anyone before? Or is this only a microenvironmental problem that I, the OP, face?

Tell me.

Hi /sci/

I've had this idea for a while, if the universe originated from one 'object', so massive and so small, where did it come from? I've been thinking, couldn't the universe have been born many times? I hear about black holes fusing together when galaxies collide, couldn't the origin of the big bang be just one gigantic black hole made from all the matter in the universe that existed previously? I haven't studied this at all, has this idea been presented before/is it ridiculous?
